Wild Fragments

Wild Fragments is a solo exhibition by Valerie Ng, where her observations of fragments of nature connect with experiments in eco-friendly art making. Showcasing a collection of abstract views through an atmospheric ecosystem, the artworks are a creative response to interactions with nature and highlight, the wonders of the wild.

Featuring oil and canvas paintings, papier-mache sculptures, and a stitched canvas textile, Wild Fragments is also the first time that Valerie is exhibiting her augmented reality (AR) artworks—smaller objects with interactive elements that extend the narrative of mending our fragmented connections with nature.

Supported by National Arts Council and curated by Vanessa Yeo, Wild Fragments will run from 2 to 30 July 2022 at Maya Gallery.

Art Walkthrough & Conversation: 16 July, 2pm – 4pm.
ARRRT Workshop: 23 July, 10.30am – 12pm.
