The folks at 1-Altitude are aces at throwing themed dinner parties with a view and this Valentine’s Day, they’ve decided to go with fairytales so you can expect dinner to be a beautifully curated culinary story! The 7-course meal kicks off on the winding path of love with the Oyster and Pearl and the Sea Urchin and Scallop, followed by luxuriating in the espuma of love with Truffle (asparagus, foie gras, and fresh truffle) and Three Cuts of Angus Beef. The tale ends Happily Ever After; this dessert of red currant, lemon mascarpone and violette custard completes the night on a honeyed note.

Japanese inspired steakhouse Fat Cow has got all your indulgences covered in their 6-course affair for the evening. From appetizers like Hokkaido Uni to Shiso Tempura (crispy sea urchin wrapped with shiso leaf and white truffle salt) to fresh sashimi – they’re bringing out the bluefin medium fatty tuna – and Wagyu no Houba Yaki (A3 Saga sirloin or A4 Ohmi ribeye), this meal is satisfaction guaranteed.

Lewin Terrace

French-Japanese establishment Lewin Terrace is right up your alley this Valentine’s Day if you’re looking to enjoy Japanese food amidst a pretty ambience. They’re hosting a special guest for the occasion: Japanese celebrity Chef Takayoshi Shiozawa, of Kagoshima’s Cainoya fame. Guests are in for an awesome 9-course Japanese-Italian omakase featuring the former’s signature Japanese-Italian dishes, like Homemade Pici Pasta and Iron Steak, prepared with the freshest produce from Kagoshima.

Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore

Can’t decide between beef or seafood? Take your romantic rendezvous to Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore, which does both equally well. While the star of the 5-course dinner is definitely their mouth-watering Roasted Prime Rib of Beef (accompanied by their signature Yorkshire Pudding and US Idaho Mashed Potatoes of course), other delectable seafood dishes like Waves of Passion – crab bisque with crabmeat risotto – and The Perfect Pair, a duo of Atlantic lobster tail and king salmon, await. Exclusively presented at Esquina 2.0 (the private dining room away from the madding crowd on the first floor), the 6-course tasting menu is a feast for the senses right from the beginning with their signature canapés, like the Warm Thyme & Onion Bread with smoked bone marrow butter. Actual courses include Smoked Potato Soup,Roasted and Poached Foie Gras, and Wagyu Beef Rump with green curry puree.

If beer is something both of you have an affinity for, the world’s highest urban craft-brewery beckons this Valentine’s Day. The 3-course modern European set dinner features four options for both starters and mains (great for picky palates, really). So you could kick off with the Seared Hokkaido Scallop or Seared Lobster Claw, and follow with theSlow Braised Lamb Osso Buco. And for dessert, homemade Lavender and 33.15 India Pale Ale Ice Cream – yum! Pssst, is your other half vegetarian? Widely acknowledged to be one of the most romantic restaurants in Singapore, Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens is proffering its usual brand of fusion cuisine – expect plates like Tuna Tataki with tea-smoked poached egg and Roasted Wagyu Beef Bavette and bok choy sautéed with Szechuan pepper – in its 4-course set dinner. Etna

The 4-course traditional Italian feast at Etna begins with a refreshing antipasti of King Prawn Carpaccio, marinated in Stravecchio brandy with rhubarb and asparagus sauce. For the primo, diners can look forward to Homemade Red Chilli Tonnarelli Pasta with Fresh Scallops before tucking into Tuna Loin breaded in Squid Ink with cannellini beans and beetroot puree. Finish up with a palate cleansing Passionfruit Parfait with Hazelnut Brittle and White Chocolate.

Spice up Valentine’s Day (literally) by taking your date out for a hearty Indian meal at D’Bell. Start your 4-course dinner with a soup of wild mushroom and almonds. My Little Spanish Place in Bukit Timah is one place off the beaten Valentine’s Day track if you’re looking for one. The 4-course special menu stars the usual Spanish suspects like Iberico ham and Tomato Coca Bread and Roasted Piquillo Peppers stuffed with Manchego Mousse. For mains, you get to choose between grilled squid, baby lamb cutlets, and grilled sardines. Selected wines are also going at 15% off for the night.
