10 Things to Do in Bali This Month: November 2018

As we move closer to the end of the year, Bali is definitely dialling up the party vibes with international musicians and DJs jetting into the likes of OMNIA, Ulu Cliffhouse, Woobar, and Old Man’s for their sets. There’s also a photography exploration sesh at in Ubud for those tired of the cliched while the eco-conscious can also look forward to a home remedy workshop.

Hot Since 82

Following their first birthday bash event featuring The Cuban Brothers, Ulu Cliffhouse will be welcoming Yorkshire DJ and house music producer Daley Padley – a.k.a Hot Since 82 – to their playground this November. The man behind Labyrinth residency at Pacha Ibiza returns to his musical festivities after a hiatus, and will be rocking 34thedition of Saturdays Love on the Rocks in Uluwatu with his bumping style of house and techno tunes.

André Hommen at Woobar

W Bali’s Late Night Session brings back German musician and producer AndréHommen to take party goers on a night of soul bending house and electronic music on the basement dancefloor of Woobar. Through his musical establishments and collaborations with record labels and musicians such as Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers and Telepopmusik, Hommen continues to draw attention from all over the world with EP releases “The Bottom Line”, followed by “Epiphany” and “Reach Out”.

Caught My Eye

Ubud creative space Workshop Sayan will be hosting Caught My Eye, a session on the photography counter culture movement featuring the unusual works of Bali-based artists and photographers. Jenja x Jimi Jules

After several groundbreaking releases on labels such as Watergate Records (Berlin) and Zukunft Records (Zurich), Swiss multi-instrumentalist and electronic musician Jimi Jules will be making his way to Jenja Bali for a night of colorful, hypnotic and organic vibrations. Descended from a tribe of Caribbean voodoo-sorcerers and a Swiss farmer and musician’s family, be wooed by Jules’ charismatic and mind-boggling beats inspired by his love for studio sessions and years of collaborations with fellow DJs.

Secret SunSET Bali: Global Dance for MOvember

Vzletnaya Bali x Interstellar Saturnalia

Dance under the Canggu stars at Island Beach Bar as leading Southeast Asia’s electronic-techno music community Interstellar joins forces with music and art collective Vzletnaya Bali to bring party goers a killer lineup of Asia’s top house/techno DJs. Miami Horror

Melbourne-based indietronica band Miami Horror will be playing a set on Sunday night at Old Man’s featuring psychedelic-dance tunes and the seductive percussive, hypnotic and vibrant sounds from “The Shapes”, their fourth release of musical and visual project. Taking direction from the 70s post-punk and 80’s world-beat pop artists, “The Shapes” also sees collaborations with Miami Horror’s favorite visual artists and mural artists from around the world.

Soulaxis presents Waajeed

An art curator turned a nomad as of late, Chitra currently spends her days juggling between cooking, journalism and pottery.
