Weekend Offending

House, techno and all points in between with Sivanesh Pillai and friends.

MR MAX (United Kingdom)

Mr Max aka Max Keeling (UK), fresh from his debut at Kyo last month, believes in the gospel of house music.
Heavily influenced by house and disco during his formative musical years, the sounds of Joey Negro, Masters at Work and Karizma were absorbed into his soul.
Attributing this to all the weekends spent at the infamous Southport Weekenders, Mr Max now calls Singapore home and plays actively in the club scene here, slowly but surely winning new fans with every gig that he plays.

VIMAL KUMA (Malaysia)

Having played numerous times at the world-famous Jungle parties of Koh Phangan, Thailand and just returning from his yearly Ibiza tour, Vimal Kuma (Malaysia) firmly believes that ‘music never expires’ and it is an outlook that he has been following all these years.
Music director of the only after-hours underground club in Kuala Lumpur, the long-standing Malaysian DJ served as both resident DJ and DJ booker of Quinte and plays deep funk-ridden tracks that encompass everything and anything that straddles the fine line between house and techno.
A believer of quality house music labels such as Tronic, Deeperfect and Kling Klong, Vimal currently has four mixes on Beatport that are in the top 100 of that category. Vimal Kuma’s signature 124-127BPM sounds are engineered and tailored to groove.

SIVANESH PILLAI

Sivanesh’s style is best described as a cross between the sexy house of Steve Lawler, the soulfulness of Dennis Ferrer and the dark toughness of Carl Cox.
Capable of being versatile by keeping his sounds diverse, he has played alongside international luminaries such as Style of Eye (Sweden) and Darren Emerson (UK) among many others. Encompassing everything from the deep, dark and dirty sonic crevasses to downright melodic and light-hearted tunes, Sivanesh Pillai’s sets are truly a roller-coaster of soundscapes.
