As we (hopefully) ease back into post-P2HA normalcy, rediscover history and identity with these 5 things to do this week. From magic, storytellings, to marvelling at art exhibitions, it’s about time we get some well-deserved retrospective respite.

Alternative Perspectives of Animal Abnormality in French artist Quentin Garel’s Anomal
Celebrate idiosyncratic animalia through the momentous and intimate sculptures of French artist Quentin Garel. His second solo exhibition in Singapore, Anomal, references the Greek word “anômalos”, meaning unequal or irregular. This exhibition sets out to present a critique of the triviality of mankind’s fixations on dominance over the natural world. As you wander through this charming exhibition, explore the menagerie of hyper-realistic animal sculptures that are carved full of satire and wonderment.
Anomal is on view at Cuturi Gallery, 61 Aliwal St, Singapore 199937, from 19 June 2021 to 11 July 2021. More details can be found on their website.
