Jason Lim: Encounter Under The Banyan

This solo exhibition by local artist Jason Lim showcases a fascinating programme of durational performance works that explore risk, ideas of change, and the transformation of materials, as well as the behaviours of human bodies and the elements we know – earth, air, fire, and water. Having trained as a ceramicist at London’s Central Saint Martins and graduated with an MA in Fine Arts, the LASALLE alumnus will present works from the meditative performance series Duet with light as well as Three tones of clay, made collaboratively with Ng Siew Kuan at The Substation in 1995. Don’t miss out on Under the shadow of the banyan tree – performed with a 1.9-metre high installation made of 3000kg of unfired terracotta clay, either!

Jason Lim will perform on 13 and 18 February 2018, 6.30pm, at the Earl Lu Gallery of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, LASALLE. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
