Besides festivals and large-scale events like St. Patrick’s Day, Art Day Out, and Singapore Art Museum’s mini film festival, there’s also Singapore Design Week – it looks set to be an exciting week in Singapore!
Cinerama: Metamorphosis
As an extension and dialogue with Singapore Art Museum’s latest exhibition, Cinerama: Art and the Moving Image in Southeast Asia, the accompanying film programme; Cinerama: Metamorphosis, that will showcase fresh and meditative ways of transfiguring moving images within a cinematic setting. Co-presented by Singapore Art Museum and Asian Film Archive, the series of contemporary shorts and features will rejuvenate familiar mediums and repurpose modern visual technology, reframing how we perceive the material with all its potential evocations. The festival screens one film per day with exception for the Saturday, so check out our programme highlights and video of the mini film festival!

St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival 2018
Whether you head down to the St. Patrick’s Day weekend festival at Boat Quay for the live music performances, games and kids’ activities, or even just for the Guinness, you’re in for a rambunctious day out. Participating outlets in Circular Road and Boat Quay includes Molly Malone’s Irish Pub Singapore, Hero’s, Mogambo Bar & Restaurant, Ô Comptoir, and Boomarang Boat Quay.

Art Day Out!
Part of Singapore Design Week, the Gillman Barracks’ Art Day Out will feature one-off luxury creations and design pieces created international artists, designers and craftsmen, on top of ongoing and new gallery exhibitions, and hands-on activities! Programme highlights include the launch of ‘Creatif Compleks’, by Michael Lee, a studio session on Shifting Topographies with Monica Ursina Jäger, and the DISINI arts festival with outdoor installations, music and presentations, starting from 5pm. Do stay for the launch of the spectacular 8-meter sculpture by renowned Thai contemporary artist Kamin Lertchaiprasert!
Art Day Out is happening 17 March 2018, 2-9.30pm at Gillman Barracks, 9 Lock Road, Singapore 108937. Admission is free.
Escape 56 SG, Feat Marvin & Guy, Eric Volta, and Sunju Hargun
Pop up party series Escape 56, returns for the fifth edition with good vibes overload. Look forward to Marvin & Guy – the Italian duo whose strong releases on the EP Life And Death, and vinyl releases Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation have created a lot of buzz -, Eric Volta (Kill The DJ / Ellum / UK), and Sunju Hargun (Escape 56 / BKK), are an excellent combination to feature on this evening. Good vibes overload.
