Exclusive Haw Par Villa Twilight Tour: Journeys to Hell

Experience the former Tiger Balm Garden with an exclusive twilight tour well past operational hours, bringing you through its unique landscape and countless sculptures. Most interestingly, you’ll get to enjoy a sneak preview of Hell’s Museum (opening in June next year), a never-before-seen exhibition that shines light on the concept of the afterlife across various religions – complete with an Indian casket for you to lie in and ponder your life. Then, go through the iconic 10 Courts of Hell to see divine judgement at its rawest and come face to face with the King of Ghosts!

Moonbeats Xmas Party w/ Ryan Hemsworth and Friends in Singapore

Haven’t had a reason to check out mao, the newly-opened club at Cecil Street? Well, here’s one. Moonbeats Asia is bringing in the acclaimed Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth to celebrate the festivities with a spectacular Moonbeats Xmas Party. Supported by homegrown names Cherie Ko and Jorud, dance to his spectrum of hip hop, R&B, dance, and even indie rock from his latest releases Elsewhere and Hunnid, in an aural extravaganza that only Ryan can create. As expected of someone who’s performed at the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Made in America.

KONTEMPORARI 2017

In case you’ve never heard of the Association of Artists of Various Resources, otherwise known as Angkatan Pelukis Aneka Daya (APAD), it’s a collective of Malay artists currently practising in Singapore. Make your way down to the ION Art Gallery and check out their annual exhibition, which includes a varied genre of work within the fraternity from students to established artists. As per APAD’s tradition, three guest artists will be invited to join the exhibition, and funds will be raised for the association and to promote art to the masses.

Plastik Dreams is the next chapter for The Council, and this time, they’ll take you on a brand new adventure with one of electronic music’s most exciting talents, the Berlin-based Korean artist Peggy Gou. After dabbling in fashion, journalism, and modelling, music is the one irresistible pulse for her, as she splashes out mix after mix of synth-heavy sounds sitting somewhere between Detroit, London, and Berlin in style. The result? Personal invitations to play alongside much-respected tastemakers like Jackmaster and The Black Madonna, as well as appearances at scene-forward festival such as Les Nuits Sonores, Dekmantel, and Sunfall.
