5 Things To Do This Week in Singapore: 22nd to 28th August 2016

This week, join our Pokémon GO bar crawl, watch a remastered classic Asian film, dance to world-class bands and DJs from Australia, and have a picnic under the planets.

City Nomads’ Pokémon GO Bar Crawl

That’s right, we’ve hopped on the bandwagon and will be organising the Singapore’s first-ever Pokémon GO beer crawl in conjunction with Craft Beer Week. After all, what better way to hatch your eggs than walking around with like-minded beer Pokémon fans? Join us as we hit five craft beer bars (Smith Street Taps, Park Bench Deli, Freehouse, Burger Joint, and Draft and Craft) with Pokestops on the way and lures at each bar. For $45, you’ll also be getting five beers and a hearty sandwich to go along.

Pokémon GO Bar Crawl is happening on Wednesday, 24 August 2016, starting from Smith Street Taps. Tickets are priced at $45, available here. For more details, check out the event page here

Asian Restored Classics 2016

Showcasing Asia’s rich film heritage in the form of painstakingly-restored Asian masterpieces, the Asian Restored Classics will be screening seven legendary works at the Capitol Theatre over four days – films including A Better Tomorrow (1986, Hong Kong), Charulata (1964, India), Dragon Inn (1967, Taiwan), and Tosuni (1963, South Korea). They’re the exact same films your parents watched, but remastered, re-spliced, and recoloured.

Asian Restored Classics 2016 is happening on from 25 to 28 August 2016. Tickets are priced at $15 per film, available here. For more details, check out the event page here.
