As May comes to a close, Pangdemonium presents a play about autism and unconditional love; Hombre Cantina presents its Tokyo edition of the ‘Juan Night In’ series; the French Animation Film Festival returns; Keong Saik Road launches an inaugural street carnival; and of course, our long-anticipated whisky tasting in collaboration with The Single Cask.
Pangdemonium’s Falling

Bincho x Hombre Cantina present Juan Night In Tokyo
For one night only, a smashing Japanese-Mex collaboration is going to own the night from the crew behind modern yakitori concept Bincho and casual Mexican dude-fare joint, Hombre Cantina. Coming from the Hyōgo Prefecture, Chef Asai Masashi and Oaxaca-native Head Chef Jorge Leon will be creating an innovative menu to bring the full flavours of Japanese Yakitori and casual Mexican fare to a harmonious match, featuring exclusive one-offs like Pibil Chicken Roll with Guacamole and Jitokko Chicken Tacos with Radish & Pina Yuzu Kosho Dressing. 5th French Animation Festival
With a selection of six latest French animation film successes, the festival will showcase much awaited movies such as Tout En Haut Du Monde, Phantom Boy, and Le Petit Prince. Meet some of the most prominent talents in today’s film animation: interact with HAN Liane-Cho, Animation Director during the opening movie on Friday; follow Cocoro and enter the set of an animated movie with free 3D-printing and stop-motion workshops from Saturday to Sunday.
5th French Animation Festival is happening from 27 to 29 May 2016 at Alliance française de Singapour, 11.30am to 9pm daily. Tickets are priced at $11 and $9 (AF members). For more details, please click here.
Keong Saik Carnival
Organised and curated by the team behind Potato Head Folk, the inaugural edition of Keong Saik Carnival will host a street market with over eight local and international vendors. Browse the latest collections from diverse fashion labels, including Made by Legacy and a limited edition streetwear collection by Fergadelic created for Three Buns.
There will also be a pop-up record store by #vinyloftheday, two performance stages featuring a nonstop lineup of acclaimed DJs and headlining artistes like Beijing’s Howie Lee, Shanghai’s ChaCha and Drunk Monk, and Al Rocco and Blow from Shanghainese hip-hop group Busy Gang. Local acts will be also represented by The Observatory, Syndicate, Mr Has, Pushin’On and Attagirl!
