Harry’s 24th Anniversary Party
Party like you’re back in the 90s at Harry’s 24th anniversary party! That’s two night of fun-filled indulgence as you dig into signature treats – including The Harry’s Seven at only $24 – and your favourite beers. In spirit of the era, relive the nostalgia with classic games such as Dance Dance Revolution and Giant Beer Mug Slide. There’ll be live bands belting out some of the greatest hits from the decade, so remember to grab your retro outfits and come in your spiffy dancing shoes. All proceeds will go to Happy People Helping People Foundation’s Meal Funds for Box Collectors campaign.
Harry’s 24th Anniversary Party is happening on 30 Sep & 1 Oct at Clarke Quay Fountain Square from 6.30pm – 12am. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia 7
Hold on to your ribs, because they might just fall off as the annual Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia returns for its seventh year running. In this no-holds-barred laugh fest, five renowned Asian stand-up comedians together with an Asian-at-heart Australian will be unleashing witty real talk and their most critical repertoire yet, with heavy subjects like islamophobia and terrorism. The line-up include India’s funniest man Vir Das, Asia’s godfather of stand-up Harith Iskandar, Hawaiian actor Paul Ogata, and the sharp British comedian Shazia Mirza.
Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia 7 is happening on 30 Sep & 1 Oct 2016 at Esplanade. Tickets are priced from $38, available via SISTIC. For more details, check out the event page here.
Block Party: The Pasar Malam Edition feat. Weelikme
For the latest edition of Gallery & Co’s Block Party, they’ll be taking things up a notch by combining two of life’s guilty pleasures – shopping and dancing – in a groovy night of boozy fun. Head down after work and shop the pasar malam, up to 70% off brands such as Kitsune, Pubumésu, BAGGU, Wanda Nylon, Jujumade and Nomess Copenhagen. Once your shopping bags are filled, head out to the outdoor bar and dance away to your favourite house and indie disco beats with dancefloor-fluffer Adrian Wee, the man behind Singapore’s longest running club night Poptart.
Block Party: The Pasar Malam Edition is happening on Friday, 30 September 2016 at Gallery & Co. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
New Menu Lai Liao: An Overground Supper Club
Get ready for the meal of your wildest dreams as Bjorn Shen (chef-owner of Artichoke and Bird Bird) whips up a highly anticipated Dude-Sin (Dude-Singaporean) menu for the Looftop, along with a revamped fresh-to-death cocktail menu by Julian Serna. Think Bak Chor Mee Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Asian inspired cocktails like the Kaya Lumpur. When you’re well-fed, try your hand at Bestman Balloon sculpturing or the arcade-favourite Bishi Bashi machine. Much like an underground supper club but overground, and so much more Singaporean.
New Menu Lai Liao is happening on Saturday, 1 October 2016, 9pm at Loof. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
