World-renowned American violinist and composer, Mark O’Connor, has conquered the classical, pop, jazz, and country music worlds with two Grammy Awards and eight Grammy nominations. His talent for organic integration across genres and fiendish improvisation look set to wow audiences in his collaboration with the SCO. Mark O’Connor will perform his compositions: Strings and Threads Suite, Olympic Harvest and Fiddle Concerto Movement III. The concert will also present Mark O’Connor’s Queen Anne’s Revenge and last movement of Americana Symphony: Splendid Horizons, Tan Dun’s Suite for Chinese String Instruments and Eric Watson’s The Ceilidh. Anticipate an East-meets-West dazzling evening of music with SCO!
