Ash & Elm: Hearty European Comfort Food at InterContinental® Singapore

Foodies, prepare to get all fired up for InterContinental Singapore’s new dining hotspot – Ash & Elm.

Taking over the ground floor location where all-day dining restaurant Olive Tree used to reside, Ash & Elm is a dynamic space that transforms from a chic breakfast buffet for hotel guests in the morning to a sophisticated luncheon venue in the afternoon, and then, a stylish dinner destination in the evening. With a gorgeous skylight canopy that runs the length of the dining area, refined pendant chandeliers, and the warm hospitality characteristic of InterContinental Singapore, diners are in for a treat!

Ash & Elm’s Charcuterie and Cheese Room

Featuring three exciting culinary theatres – the Charcuterie & Cheese Room, the Wood-Fired Oven, and the Open-Grill Kitchen – this brasserie-style restaurant offers hearty (and meaty) European comfort cuisine.

Assorted Flatbread

Kick off the meal with the signature Ash & Elm Platter ($24/$42). Served in two sizes, dig into house cured beef pastrami; house cured hot smoked pork loin, cold-roasted beef, air-dried pork belly, and pressé de foie gras with smoked duck. Another specialty we’d recommend is the Pumpkin and Bacon Flat Bread ($18); this sweet and savoury indulgence is cooked in Wood-Fired Oven kindled with Jarrah hardwood sourced from Western Australia.

Meat Tasting Platter with sides

Like any self-respecting European restaurant, there’s a delicious Hand-Cut Beef Tenderloin Tartare on Sourdough Bread ($22/38) on the menu too. Prefer your beef cooked? Go for the Beef Tasting ($108) platter, or if you don’t discriminate, the Meat Tasting ($95) platter. Both dishes allow you to sample a range of meat offerings, and all meats are cooking using the Charcoal Grill, with imported Manuka woodchips from New Zealand for natural caramelisation and that extra oomph.

Tasmanian Salmon Fillet A La Plancha

For those who are more inclined to seafood, go for the sustainably farmed Tasmanian Salmon Fillet A La Plancha ($46), served with a piquant grapefruit hollandaise, or the classic Seafood Linguine ($31), tossed in a thick crustacean sauce.

Before diving into the sweets (or if you’re not really into desserts) try cheeses flown in from France, Italy, Spain, and the UK, served in Cheese Platters of Three, Four, or Five Cheeses ($24/$28/$34).

Chocolate-Hazelnut Pizza

You can’t go wrong with the warm Chocolate-Hazelnut Pizza ($24), which is perfect for sharing amongst chocoholic friends, while fruit lovers can rediscover the timelessness of desserts with Ash & Elm’s version of the Peach Melba ($14), a sweet treat invented in the late 1800s!

Ash & Elm is located at Level 1, InterContinental Singapore. Open for a la carte lunch daily, 12pm-3pm, semi-buffet lunch Mondays to Fridays, 12pm-2pm, and a la carte dinner daily 6pm-10.30pm.
