Baan Silapin

Known as “The Artist’s House”, Baan Silapin is one of Bangkok’s hidden gems. While a relatively difficult place to get to, the extra effort is worth it. This dainty little village is located by a khlong, a rare sight in modern Bangkok. Full of charm and a great escape from Bangkok’s city life, Baan Silapin also has several cafés and coffee shops serving delicious Thai cuisine. The highlight? A traditional Thai puppet show that takes place everyday except on Wednesdays.

Getting there: Take the BTS to Wongwian Yai station, then hop on a taxi from there.
