Bali Museum

The Bali Museum is a good visit for anyone wishing to learn about Balinese history as well as take in some Balinese art. The museum consists of four buildings each housing different items.The ‘Tabanan’ building displays theatrical masks and musical instruments, ‘Karangasem sculptures and paintings, ‘Buleleng; displays textiles, and in ‘Timur’ guests can marvel archeological finds. The site itself is located on beautiful grounds making the visit very scenic. Finish or start your visit with a quiet and calm stroll around the museum gardens. For a more informative experience you can hire local guides for an extra fee, although not an official museum guide. They can be helpful to explain the significance of some of the artifacts as some exhibits may lack extensive information.
