Barcelona Transgressive Designers | From Art to Design I exhibition & pop-up store

From 28 April – 15 May 2015, The National Design Centre will be hosting the exhibition “Barcelona Transgressive Designers: from Art to Design” which is designed to showcase the potential of Barcelona’s creative design professionals as well as to create business opportunities for the short and medium term. Singapore will get a closer look at the creativity of the most transgressive designers from Barcelona.

Featuring the latest design work from Barcelona’s 21 leading designers across the categories of accessories, jewellery, shoes and bags, home décor and ceramic work, the exhibition’s focus pinpoints innovation and artistic components of the designers’ materials, aesthetics, and creative process. From traditional techniques to the latest 3D printing technology, the exhibition presents Barcelona’s cutting edge design and ideas to Singapore’s design community in a cultural design exchange.

Pop-up Store at kapok at NDC : 18 May – 18 June, 2015
Bridging art, design and retail, a selection of items showcased at “Barcelona Transgressive Designers: from Art to Design” will be available for sale in a 30 day pop-up store at kapok, the multi-brand store known for good design shopping and its selection of ‘future classics’.

BARCELONA TRANSGRESSIVE DESIGNERS:From Art to Design The Exhibition will take place from 28 April – 17 May, 2015, while The Pop-Up Store at kapok flagship store at National Design Centre is taking place from 18 May – 18 June, 2015. Both events will be held at the National Design Centre, 111 Middle Road, Singapore 188969. Opening hours: 9am – 9pm daily. Admission is free.
