Best Beach Bars in Sentosa For Those Who Love the Island Life

Beach and waterfront bars in Singapore might not be as common as rooftop bars, but to be honest, we’re just grateful that we do have places to sit around with a drink in hand, casting our eyes lazily over the sea. And that’s reason enough to round up the best bars in Sentosa, where being a(n) (alcoholic) beach bum will quite possibly be the best life decision you ever make.

WOOBAR

Glamorous and oh-so-sophisticated, WOOBAR is that hot setting in that hot music video with hot people living it up. Decked out in sleek custom-made furniture pieces and blessed with a gorgeous swimming pool (view), this smooth player of a bar will serve you anything ranging from classy bespoke cocktails to one-of-a-kind wines from halfway across the globe. Nobody said that you can’t be a beach bum and posh at the same time.

WOOBAR is located at 21 Ocean Way Sentosa, Singapore 098374, p. 6808 7278. Open Weekdays 11.30am-1am, Weekends and Public Holidays 9am to 1am.

Tanjong Beach Club

A jack of all trades, but master of none? Not so. In the case of Tanjong Beach Club’s, the word “none” should be changed to “everything”. Restaurant, bar and lounge at the same time, this suave establishment has been a crowd-pleaser ever since its inception in 2010, dishing out delish Western grub and yummy cocktails, while bringing in hot DJ talents like Aeroplane and Gigamesh. All this has rightfully earned them a spot in CNN’s 2013 list of the world’s 50 best beach bars!

Tanjong Beach Club is located at 120 Tanjong Beach Walk, Singapore 098942, p. 9750 5323. Open Tues-Fri 11am-10pm. Sat-Sun 10pm-11pm.

Bob’s Bar

Inspired by the old-world charm of Havana, Bob’s Bar is the resident bar of Capella Hotel and a Cuban booze house that dabbles in the world of rum. Like a nectar of the Gods, the sugarcane-based spirit is revered at this joint. There’s even a unique rumspecially-crafted for Bob’s Bar, hailing all the way from Barbados and conjured up by master rum blender Richard Seale. All you gotta do is request for Navegante and enjoy it in either an old-fashioned or Mojito.

Bob’s Bar is located at 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098297, p. 6591 5047. Open Daily 12pm-12am.

Sabio by the Sea

A sister bar of Sabio in Duxton, Sabio by the Sea is a stunning oasis located at the marina district of Sentosa Cove. The culinary philosophy here is directed by fresh sea produce, so visitors can expect a host tantalising seafood offerings alongside succulent grilled meats. Pair your food with a selection of champagne, red, and white wines, or the Spanish Estrella Galicia – a must-have beer with Spanish tapas.

Sabio by the Sea is located at 31 Ocean Way, #01-02 Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove, Singapore 098373, p. 6690 7568. Open Mon-Wed 3pm-10.30pm. Thurs 12pm-10.30pm. Fri-Sat 2pm-11pm. Sun 11am-10.30pm.

There are many awesome whisky bars in Singapore, but Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa’s World of Whisky is definitely amidst those in the top tier. Though it’s located indoors, their extensive alcoholic arsenal of premium and rare whiskies is more than enough to set World of Whisky apart from its competitors. Plus, their private dining room is perfect for enthusiasts to gather and share their love of spirits.
