Rotting zombies, ghastly ghouls, a giant cockroach apocalypse – whatever your greatest fear might be, Halloween is no longer about scaring yourself silly. Celebrate our favourite spooky holiday with five of the best Halloween parties and events this October:
Hell on Wheels
A sinister expedition awaits all the brave souls who dare to board Propaganda’s Hell on Wheels bus tour. Back in its sixth year, it’s not hard to see why its one of the most popular Halloween parties in Singapore. Free entry to four of Singapore’s hottest bars and clubs, first free drinks at the venus, and free-flowing booze on the party bus? Sounds like a super night out on the town to us. So spread the word and start sourcing for a badass costume to get you on this ride of doom (figuratively, of course)!
Hell on Wheels is happening on Saturday, 31st October from 6.30pm onwards at Open Farm Community. Pre-sale tickets: $40. Free entry & first drink at 3-4 exclusive bars/ clubs.
Please confirm your attendance by emailing your full names and phone numbers to info@propaganda.com.sg.
Local Horror Stories, Clarke Quay
Clarke Quay’s Fountain Square is going to get more than a little creepy. This Halloween, Singapore’s largest party district welcomes you with abandoned shophouses, eerie local playgrounds, and ghostly folklore straight out of Singapore’s horror stories. With the space set to be transformed into a massive street party concept, party-goers are spoilt for choice when it comes to getting their freak on. There’ll also be a best costume contest, face-painting sessions, and local band performances to spice up the horror carnival atmosphere. Best of all, admission to the event is free.
Singapore Horror Stories is happening on Saturday, 31st October from 8pm till late at Clarke Quay. Admission is free.
Paradise Found: Halloween 2015, The Rabbit Hole
The perfect refuge from hellish hauntings and pesky phantoms this Halloween, the party at Singapore’s first specialty gin bar is inspired by the Garden of Eden (very apt, considering The Rabbit Hole’s verdant setting). Fun-loving folks are more than welcome to seek safety at The Rabbit Hole and shimmy along to devilish beats by DJ KFC, as the night of the dead no longer becomes a thing of dread. Come dressed in your botanical best, and you might stand a chance to win a 3D2N stay at the gorgeous villas of the IZE Seminyak, Bali, amongst other attractive prizes.
Paradise Found: Halloween 2015 is happening on Saturday, 31st October from 9pm onwards at The White Rabbit. Admission is free.
Captain Planet, Vagabond Bar
Housed in a 1950s heritage building along Syed Alwi Road, the spanking new Hôtel Vagabond is celebrating their first Halloween in Singapore with a massive soirée that promises to be one of the swankiest celebrations in town. Acclaimed DJ Captain Planet (USA) will be gracing the decks with his eclectic brand of boundary-breaking genre Gumbo Funk; and he’ll be ably supported by LADY FLiC, resident DJ of Potato Head Beach Club, Bali, and a seasoned performer who has supported the likes of MIA, Fatboy Slim, Justice, and Foster the People.
Captain Planet will be spinning at Vagabond Bar from 9pm to 2am on both Friday, 30th October & Saturday, 31st October 2015. Admission is free.
