Favourite Mexican Places in Bali

There’s a wide variety of dining options in Bali and surprisingly, Mexican cuisine is increasingly popular here. Tacos, quesadillas, tequilas and guacamole – what’s not to love? And here’s a round up of our favourite, and dare we say, best Mexican food in Bali.

Taco Casa

This casual and friendly joint has been around for almost 6 years, serving up the usual Mexican staples. The health conscious will be glad to know that the flour tortillas, corn chips, guacamole, salsa, enchiladas sauce, black and pinto beans, taco shells, taco salad bowl and dressing are all made from scratch and contain no MSG, lard or preservatives.
Must try: Make your own tacos. It’s truly satisfying.
Taco Casa is located in Seminyak, Canggu and Ubud.

A ‘local’ take on modern taqueria, Taco Local puts its own interpretation to the Mexican dishes that are served in both their Jakarta and Bali branch. Swing by on their Tacos Tuesday, from 6pm – 9pm for their “buy 2 tacos get one free” or “buy 1-get-1 classic margarita” promotions!
Must try: Taco lenguas

Lacalita

Lacalita Bar y Cocina, sister to Seminyak’s Lacalaca Cantina Mexicana, places an emphasis on modern Mexcian dining and fresh handcrafted cocktails. In October 2014, Adelaide-born Chef Will Lovejoy decided to branch out and give the people of Canggu what they’d been craving.

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. It probably doesn’t have an extensive traditional Mexican food menu (they serve up a variety of cuisines) but Sea Circus does have pretty legit tacos. Not forgetting, this restaurant, cocktail bar and coffee den has some pretty epic breakfast too. If food isn’t your thing, swing by for their parties!
Must try: Grilled fish tacos and breakfast dishes
