Singapore’s 50th birthday is headed right our way, so what better aspect of our culture to celebrate than our virtual birthright – local cuisine?
For the 50 days leading up to our Golden Jubilee, Kopi Tiam at Swissôtel The Stamford will be presenting only the finest of local flavours, featuring a wide range of both traditional and contemporary favourites amidst its comfortable, yet nostalgic, settings.
Ayam Panggang
On top of classic dishes you know and love like Bak Kut Teh (Pork Rib Soup), Fried Carrot Cake, and Kopi Tiam’s signature Fish Head Curry, the diligent chefs have added a few mouthwatering highlights to the menu. Think perfectly grilled Ayam Panggang – fork tender chicken thigh spiced with fresh turmeric and lemongrass – and Wok-Fried Beef cooked in aromatic Shaoxing wine and soya sauce. Those after more robust flavours can look forward to a platter of five-spiced Wok-Fried Roasted Pork Belly, served with leek and garlic, or the Deep Fried Sweet and Sour Grouper.
Menu mainstays aside, don’t forget to save room for exclusive tasting portions of time-honoured favourites when you dine at Kopi Tiam from 21 June to 9 August 2015.
Classic Chicken Rice
With dishes such as delectable Laksa, fragrant Chicken Rice, and flavoursome Hokkien Mee priced at an amazing $0.50 per tasting portion, Kopi Tiam is the place to go for a taste of Singapore this National Day season! Plus, we hear that only 50 portions of each dish are available each day, so it’s best to get in early for your Singapore food feast.
