Man Fu Yuan

Man Fu Yuan‘s Executive Chef Eric Neo and his team showcase eight auspicious menus for ushering in this Chinese New Year with loved ones. Available until 19 February 2019, the menus include perennial favourites and restaurant signatures priced from $108++ per guest. Look forward to their 60-inch Prosperity Yu Sheng featuring abalone, Hokkaido scallops, salmon, crisp pork crackling, and apple sauce dressing, along with their eight-course Wealth prix-fixe menu which features bird’s nest soup in pumpkin, braised five-head abalone with sea cucumber and flower mushrooms, and lobster egg noodles with X.O. chilli sauce, among other delightful delicacies.

habitat by honestbee

For a colourful (and youthful) reunion dinner, don’t miss habitat by honestbee‘s Unicorn Yu Sheng (from $38.80 for medium), which includes plum & yuzu sauce, candied bacon, as well as a choice of fresh swordfish, hamachi, and salmon sashimi – which you can top up and add more choices for an additional fee. Unicorns aside, there’s also a Piglet Yu Sheng in the shape of a pig (it is the year of the boar, after all)!

The Yu Sheng also comes with chopsticks that explain the meanings of the lo hei process – making it a fun and informative way to do the prosperity toss with family members and friends.

habitat by honestbee has also given their popular dishes a Lunar New Year twist. Look forward to new items like 黑金 Beer Battered Black and Gold Wolffish  ($18.80) for a year of abundance and wealth, their tasty Bak Kwazzz Sourdough ($8.80) with lotus seeds made using a Kyoho grape levain, and the Grand Marnier Pancakes ($16.80) served with using Mandarin orange chantilly cream, almond tuile Mandarin sauce, and candied orange.

Ah Hoi’s Kitchen

Priding itself on authentic zi char style sharing dishes, Ah Hoi’s Kitchen is perfect for this auspicious season of bountiful feasts. The restaurant’s Lunar New Year Sets starts from $288 for six people in a Wealthy Festive Set, to a Prosperity Festival Set that feeds 10 people for $688++. Depending on which option you choose, look forward to specialities such as Chef Tiger’s Thai Style Chilli Lobster and Champagne Pork Ribs to usher in the good luck. Available from now to 19 February, you can also pair their sets with exclusive blends from Sucre Teas like the traditional Osmanthus Oolong or Enchanted Garden, a luxurious black tea with notes of Madagascar vanilla and pomegranate. It’s the welcome change you never knew you wanted.

Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant

Whether it’s one of their Prosperity Set Menus (from $108.80++ per person, available from 14 January to 19 February), a la carte delicacies or their perfectly-crafted Takeaway Goodies, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant‘s exquisite creations are sure to impress your relatives. Highlights include their luxe Prosperity Yu Sheng, laden with lobster, sea urchin, Hokkaido scallop, salmon, tuna, and caviar, Braised Bird’s Nest with Assorted Dried Seafood Broth & Saffron, and Deep-fried Lobster with Passionfruit Mayonnaise & Cereal. Straits Café

For a different Chinese New Year featuring Straits flavours from Penang, Melaka, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, Straits Café‘s mouth-watering buffet spread starts from $46++ per pax for lunch and $54++ per pax for dinner. Available 21 January 2019 to 19 February 2019, enjoy a Yusheng  (from $38++) on top of delights such as Jellyfish with Nonya Pickle AcharTeochew Stye Steamed Seabass, and Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Honeysuckle. Madame Fan celebrates its inaugural Lunar New Year with exquisitely crafted Set Lunch (starting from $78++ per person) and Set Dinner (starting from $128++ per person) menus. Available from 16 January to 19 February 2019, highlights from the lunch menu includes Madame Fan signatures while for dinner, delight in premium offerings such as the Steamed Silver Cod with Chinese Ham and Ginger Sauce, Double Boiled Sea Conch and Sakura Chicken and Cordyceps Flower Soup. Toss to the new year with Madame Fan’s Prosperity Yu Sheng, which creatively incorporates ingredients such as crispy rice noodles, purple cabbage, silver fish, mandarin orange and green mango into the layers of Yu Sheng to create a tantalizing and spectacular talking point at the dining table.

Full of Luck Restaurant

Celebrate the year of the earth boar at the auspiciously named, Full of Luck Restaurant.  Available 21 January 2019 to 19 February 2019, their festive set menus cater to groups of two to 10, starting from $118++. This modern Cantonese joint will be serving up a variety of new dishes including the Prosperity Lou Hei Toss featuring refreshing lychee pearls and Longevity Fish Noodles with Crabmeat and X.O Chili. The menus also see the return of 2018’s popular plates like the Chef’s Special Sautéed Prawns with Black Truffle and Full of Luck’s signatures – Honey Glazed Char Siew and Crispy Kurobuta Pork – in a Double Delight Platter.

Sky22

Toss to greater heights at Sky22 with the Auspicious Salmon Lo Hei (from $28++ for 4 to 6 persons) or the Golden Fortune Suckling Pig Lo Hei. Too common for you? Try your hand at customising your own lo hei from the Lo Hei Bar stocked with ingredients like crispy fish skin, marinated jellyfish, pomelo, peanuts, and more! Whether it’s the Prosperity Weekend a La Carte buffet (from $48++ per adult, available lunch and dinner 25 Jan to 19 Feb 2019) or the Harmony Semi Buffet (from $28++ per person, available for lunch and dinner 22 Jan to 19 Feb 2019), look forward to traditional treats like Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausage, Scallops with Chinese Mushroom on Longevity Noodles, and Pumpkin Salted Egg Prawns.

Start with fresh seafood on ice – options include Snow Crab and Poached Tiger Prawns – and mouthwatering appetisers like Smoked Duck with Mandarin Orange Salad. Follow up with some DIY fun at the Traditional Nonya Kueh Pie Tee before continuing with mains such as Beef Rendang and XO Fried Rice with silverfish. The Kitchen Table

Get creative at The Kitchen Table and curate your very own Yu Sheng with various flavours and textures. Available on 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 February 2019 for dinner between 6pm to 10pm, usher in luck and wealth to a personalised prosperity toss on top of indulging in a spread of festive favourites for $88++ per person. Alternatively, check in on Lunar New Year Eve on 4 February for a joyous reunion dinner at just $128++ per person.
