DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER

The Stage Club of Singapore is charmed to present an international cast of six very talented actors in Marc Camoletti’s, hilarious romp through the French countryside: Don’t Dress for Dinner, directed by Hunter Wood.

A smash hit in Paris, where it played for over two years, and in London, where it ran for six; Don’t Dress for Dinner is a boulevard comedy with all the essential elements of mistaken identities, outrageous infidelities, and complex plots gone awry.

Bernard is planning a romantic weekend with his chic Parisian mistress in his elegantly converted French farmhouse, whilst his wife, Jacqueline is away. He has arranged for a cordon bleu cook to prepare gourmet delights, and has invited his best friend, Robert, along too to provide an alibi. It’s foolproof; what could possibly go wrong? Nothing it seems…. Until, Bernard’s wife learns that Robert will be visiting for the weekend, and decides to stay in town for a secret tryst of her own…

The cook is Suzette, the lover is Suzanne, the friend is bewildered, the wife is suspicious, the husband is losing his mind and everyone is guaranteed an evening of hilarious confusion as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed.

This event is running from Wednesday, 25 February to Sunday, 28 February at 8pm at the DBS Arts Centre.
