After last year’s debut, Epizode Festival returns to the tropical heaven in Phu Quoc island, Vietnam, for an 11-day festival from 31 December till January 10, 2018 presenting an incredible lineup consisted of the world’s most affluent house and techno DJs such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Dixon, Loco Dice, Chris Liebing and a special Asia Stage program, welcoming the regional best artistes such as Hibiya Line and Dan Lo, Thailand’s Sunju Hargun and Dan Buri, Singapore’s Zig Zach and Cats on Crack and Malaysia’s Alam and Obadius.
The festival kicks off on the New Year’s Eve with one of the biggest electronic music legends such as Carl Cox, Tyoma, Sacha Muki and Eric Powell; while Hyte one of the world’s leading party institutions will take over the main stage on 5, 7 and 9 January with global house and techno heavyweights such as Loco Dice, Chris Leibing, Richie Hawtin, Pan Pot and Berghain’s resident Marcel Dettman on the programming.
One of the most famous Moscow promoters, Arma 17, will be presenting the legendary Ricardo Villalobos, followed by Fumiya Tanaka, Dan Andrei, Nicolas Lutz, Binh, Call Super, Alexis Le Tan, Denis Kaznacheev and the Arma residents. The line-up will include the Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones together with Richy Ahmed and Waff, Visonquest label co-founder, Ryan Crosson, Perlon’s Sammy Dee, Desolat’s Yaya, Rekids’ Peggy Gou, British breakbeats icons Stanton Warriors.
The Asia Stage will liven up on 2, 3, 7 and 8 January featuring regional DJ heroes such as Ho Chi Minh City’s Hibiya Line and Dan Lo, Hanoi’s Ouissam and Minh8, Singapore’s Zig Zach and Cats on Crack, Bangkok’s Sunju Hargun, Dan Buri and Myle, Hong Kong’s Ocean Lam and Jo.D, Seoul’s Marcus L, Kuala Lumpur’s Alam and Obadius and Goa’s Shana.
Apart from a stellar line-up of music programming, expect to see dream-like artistic decorations and various day activities to keep the mind and body charged. If you’re an electronic music enthusiast who’s looking to catch an array of incredible artists who have helped made the scene what it is today, hop on a plane to Phu Quoc for either a weekend or 11 days (if you can) of unstoppable energy, great music and not forgetting endless beach vibes.
