Jakarta born, Kiki Daniels moved to Bali about 8 years ago and has been loving her life so far. Both a social media marketer and the founder of svngaze – a beach line – shared with us her favourite hangouts in Bali and her future plans.
Hi Kiki. How’s living in Bali so far?
So far so good. I’ve been here for eight years and sun is pretty much always shining. Expenses are relatively cheap and the people are friendly. Most importantly, I get to meet a lot of people from all over the world.
What are some of your personal favourite hangouts in Bali?
Warung Chingurito on Seminyak Beach is probably my favourite hangout, perfect for watching the sunset. And my favourite beach club has got to be Karma Beach just because it’s beautiful out there.
What do you do in Bali?
I’m a social media marketer specialized in increasing the right followers and engagement on my clients’ Instagram accounts. I also have my beach line called svngaze (pronounced as sungaze). Oh, I’ve just started my beach sarongs collection too.
We heard you’re in the process of producing super cute sarongs. Tell us more about it.
Svngaze is all things related to the beach because truth is, I love sarongs, bikinis and sunglasses. And one day, I thought “why don’t I just make those, right?”…so it happened. I mean, one of the best things in life is to do what we like and be able to survive on it.
Any plans of moving out of Bali?
Well, after eight years here, I have thought about moving somewhere else to start a new adventure, but I haven’t found the right place – somewhere as magical as Bali – to spread my wings yet.
