Fashion Illustration 101 Workshop

Bring out the designer in you by with this introductory drawing course that will teach you earn the basics of fashion illustration. Participants will be taught the basics of figure drawing and learn how to represent different cuts, drapes and silhouettes simply and effectively. Knowledge in basic drawing is helpful, but this class is suitable for all levels of experience.

Students will be able to achieve the following over the 4 sessions:

Figure drawing of form, posture and proportion
Work with mixed medium

Perceive and draw basic garments
Show construction details of garments, colour and shading
Suitable for
Fashion design students who would like to refine their technique
Fashion bloggers looking for an interesting way to present their ideas and outfits
Anyone looking to learn figure drawing and expand their visual language

About the Artist-Instructor:

The workshop is conducted by Jasline Ang, a passionate practitioner in art and design. She graduated from NAFA in Fashion Design, was a Fashion Illustrator for Wykidd Song and now currently working as a customisation artist for Maison Goyard.

Fashion Illustration 101 Workshop will be conducted every Saturday for 4 sessions, starting 16 May 2015, 1pm – 3pm, at The Substation Classroom 1. Course Fee: $133.20 (Excluding $60 material fee). Registration will start on 27 April.
