Gentle Bones Debut EP Launch

With the release of his 1st two singles, Gentle Bones (Joel Tan, age 20) has already established himself as one of the top upcoming artistes in Singapore’s english music scene with over 400,000 views from his YouTube videos alone and strong support from local radio stations such as 98.7fm, Power 98, Hot 91.3 and Lush99.5.

This debut self-titled EP, significantly funded by the National Arts Council’s EP Grant, is one of the most awaited releases of 2014. The ‘Pop-Folk’ EP is highly driven by visceral thoughts, of what Joel puts across as his style of doing music without conscious reflection. Filled with 3 fast-paced anthems and two love songs, it is the product of Joel’s personal exploration of music over the past 4 years and what he believes to be the best work that he has conceived so far. The EP was produced and mixed by Roland Lim at Sync Studios , one of Singapore’s top producers with over 5 #1 and 20 Top 10 hits in Asia and Australia & mastered by Joe Bozzi ( Britney Spears,U2 ) at Grammy-winning Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Having played for the Mosaic Music Festival in 2012, Music Matters Live 2014, penned, recorded and performed a song for the upcoming 2015 SEA Games, Joel’s future in music is looking extremely promising. Let his blend of acoustic, folk and pop music enlighten your ears and show what the new generation has to offer.
