Get Ready for Restaurant Week!

Time to loosen those belts, foodies, ’cause Restaurant Week is back! Organised by DiningCity, this edition of Singapore’s favourite bi-annual gourmet event will be taking diners on ‘An Experiential Journey Through Chocolate’ from 25 October to 2 November 2014. With three-course meals at $25++ for lunch and $35++ for dinner, we foresee it’s going to be a week of gluttony. Heck, it would be a sin not to.

More than 100 restaurants will be participating this year; regulars will see hot favourites like Absinthe, OCF (we had a sneak preview and the dessert is quite amazing!), and Zafferano back in the running. Exciting new establishments are also joining the cool crowd, such as Portico, D’Bell, Wolf, and 1-Rochester’s new darling UNA. Savour dishes with inventive uses of chocolate like ‘Chocolate Beef Cheek Ravioli’, which shows that the ingredient is too versatile to be restricted to desserts.

Parents, if Restaurant Week was an occasion you had to leave the kids at home (that actually sounds like a good thing), they’ll get to join in the fun his time. The folks at DiningCity are out to groom the palates of your little ones with specially tailored three-course kids’ menus priced at $15++ and $20++ for lunch and dinner respectively during with Kids Restaurant Weekend. Participating restaurants include Alkaff Mansion, Capricci, and Moluccas Room. Best part? You get to sample the Restaurant Week menus at these restaurants before the rest of us do.

Before we forget, note that DiningCity Star awardees charge a supplement of $15++ and $20++ ($5++ and $10++ for kids) for lunch and dinner. Bookings can be made online at http://www.restaurantweek.sg starting 22 September for American Express Card members, 26 September for subscribers to DiningCity.SG’s newsletter, and 27 September for the public.
