Singapore’s sporting calendar is kicking off 2026 with a bang. From 31 January to 1 February, HSBC SVNS 2026 takes over the National Stadium at The Kallang. As the only Southeast Asian stop of the World Rugby HSBC SVNS series, the Singapore leg promises two high-octane days of world-class rugby and family-friendly festivities.
Affectionately dubbed the “Family SVNS,” the Singapore edition offers more than just a tournament, it’s a gathering point for global fans, regional pride, and community connection. This year also sees the return of the Southeast Asia Sevens (SEA 7s), further cementing Singapore’s role as a regional hub for rugby development.
Icons on the Pitch
This year’s event will be fronted by three of the sport’s biggest names: Ruby Tui (New Zealand), Jerry Tuwai (Fiji), and Nathan Hirayama (Canada). As official ambassadors, they’ll be connecting with fans through youth clinics, meet-and-greets, and appearances across the weekend. Whether you’re a seasoned follower or new to the sport, there’s something special about seeing legends in action, on and off the pitch.
Match-Ups to Watch
The action begins with France vs Canada (Women) and France vs New Zealand (Men) on Day 1. Over the weekend, the world’s top eight men’s and women’s teams will go head-to-head in pool play that sets the tone for the season.
