Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2016

Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts is a festival that showcases the works of outstanding Chinese artists of all genres. It provides a platform for them to present their works to international audiences in Singapore. It also introduces people to works that reveal the unique individual voices of Chinese artists and allows audiences to reflect on different perspectives and interpretations on what it means to be Chinese.

This year, highlights at Huayi include God of Carnage, a lauded Cantonese adaptation of French playwright Yasmina Reza’s work, by Dionysus Contemporary Theatre and featuring some of Hong Kong’s most respected thespians – Golden Horse Award winner Anthony Wong and popular television actress Louisa So. There’s also Gong Linna, who will present a concert that showcases her unique vocal artistry and technical mastery of a variety of dramatically different Chinese singing techniques.

Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2016 is happening from 12 February to 21 February 2016 at the Esplanade. For the full event line-up, please click here.
