“…it becomes even more poignant now, more than ever, for us to show the world the Kathmandu we knew, before the disaster. The beautiful Kathmandu we encountered, photographed, and fell in love with. The Kathmandu we can help to rebuild from the rubble and grief.”
Since February 2015, the KIO team has been working hard to put together a photo exhibition – “When The Mountains Called”. The inaugural KIO exhibition showcases 28 real stories from Kathmandu, told by masterclass participants from Singapore, UK, HK, and Nepal from 2012 to 2014.
Unfortunately, on 25 April, 2015, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. The team was on the verge of cancelling the show.
However, after much consideration, we decided to go ahead. In fact, it becomes even more poignant now, more than ever, for us to show the world the Kathmandu we knew, before the disaster. The beautiful Kathmandu we encountered, photographed, and fell in love with. The Kathmandu we can help to rebuild from the rubble and grief.
Please join us as we bring to life real stories using photography and testimonies. Prints and postcards to will be sold raise funds for our friends in Nepal. Please support us and Nepal.
