5 MAY 2016 | Kilo is excited to announce the return of Under Pressure, after a four-year hiatus, giving amateur home cooks and budding chefs the chance to realise their culinary dreams and run a professional kitchen for one night.
Under Pressure will be helmed by amateur chef Oliver Budgens on 5 May 2016. Describing his food as a mix of stripped-down Mediterranean, inspired by Southern France, Southern Italy and Greece, Oliver does not have any experience working in a professional kitchen — unless you count waiting tables as a student, or volunteering at a burrito stand for charity — so Kilo Under Pressure will be a first for him. His stint in the Kilo kitchen will get the ball rolling for a roster of 6 other chosen home cooks — altogether, dubbed the ‘Lucky 7’ — with subsequent Under Pressure sessions scheduled to take place once every month from May onwards.
Through Under Pressure, Kilo hopes to give amateur chefs the opportunity to realise their culinary dreams and experience working in a professional kitchen for one memorable night.
