New pop-up events organiser Kueh Kakis is pleased to present its first event, Lepak on Jan 31 held at the National Museum of Singapore—an evening event that combines retail therapy, amazing food and drinks, and an outdoor movie screening. It will be an evening that celebrates the spirit of Lepak-ing, an affectionate local term for chilling out with your kakis over good food and drinks, shopping or simply hanging out.
As fun-makers on the move, Kueh Kakis aims to bring together like-minded, creative friends together for unique pop-up events that are always interesting, random and, hopefully, inspiring. Lepak at the National Museum of Singapore also aims to be a platform for first-time tastemakers to debut their offerings.
Over 12 partners will be present at Lepak at the National Museum, where Lepakers can look forward to delicious artisanal food, drinks and wares from some of Singapore’s most exciting names. Look out for trail-blazing homegrown brands such as Bird Bird, The Secret Mermaid and Magpie joining hands with newer names like Park Bench Deli (taking part in its second event after a sensational debut at Creatory last year) as well as Carvers & Co X chef Damien De Silva (a maiden collaboration by both for a pop-up market). This event also presents a selection of independent homegrown retailers who’ll be showcasing their curated wares. There’s also a cool outdoor bar, an open-air cinema (the museum’s popular Under the Banyan Tree film screening session), as well as a specially set up picnic space indoors.
This event is happening on Saturday, 31 January from 6pm to midnight at the National Museum of Singapore. Admission is free.
