Academy and Grammy Award-Winning Composer Howard Shore’s Soundtrack Score Performed Live with Full Movie on Giant Screen

The Metropolitan Festival Orchestra announces that it will be presenting the most anticipated orchestral event of the year The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on 6 & 7 June 2014 at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre. This will be an Asian Premiere.

This is a continuation of a journey that started 12 months ago with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which was attended by more than 7,000 audience members, the highest number for any single orchestra-based concert production in Singapore in 2013.

American conductor Justin Freer returns to Singapore with vocalist Kaitlyn Lusk to partner with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, the Vocal Associates Festival Chorus and Children’s Choir and boy soprano Samuel Yuen to present this landmark concert production.

Audiences will be able to relive the awesome experience of immersing themselves in the full-length Academy Award-winning motion picture projected on a giant cinematic screen complete with original dialogue and sound effects, while Howard Shore’s iconic soundtrack score is performed live by the 250 musicians of a full orchestra and chorus.
