After John Heckle and Tapirus for the last shift, mid-year’s Midnight Shift brings together [Objekt](https://soundcloud.com/keinobjekt) aka TJ Hertz with [Puzzle](https://soundcloud.com/pzlwsl) B of Leisure System records and local boys dyzfnktn and Haan, creating a techno meets bass lover’s midsummer dream.
At 28 years old, Objekt is one of the subversive curios that has emerged out of the techno world, yet has found ears in crossover scenes. Tracks such as ‘Cactus’, ‘Porcupine’, ‘The Goose That Got Away’ and his debut album ‘Flatland’ have all been critically acclaimed by both the critics and the dance floor, showcasing a penchant for the disorder in the order; a kind of deconstructed dance that are at times, violent, mechanic but also very much alive. As a DJ, he brings the same signature sensibilities to his sets that can only be described with one word: Objekt.
Joining him is Puzzle, representing member of the similarly Berlin-‐based record label Leisure Systems and resident Berghain night. His sets stepping on footwork, dubstep, techno and bass has supported the likes of Machine drum, Lazer Sword, Jacques Greene and most recently Jimmy Edgar inMoscow.
On the local front, dyzfnktnaka Harv Chail, co- founder of the Phyla Digital label is no stranger to mixing up genres from house to drum & bass. As a loyal scene stalwart and evolving selector, his crates are as eclectic and diverse as is his deep and wide attitude towards music come through. A salute to recently minted kyo resident Haan who will in no doubt be warming up for the night to unfold in the right direction, while Burrows takes control of the usual decks; his pixel manipulations adding to the night’s round‐up of talent.
The event will take place on 25 July from 9pm at club kyo.
