Newton Food Centre Stalls Team Up To Deliver One-Stop Hawker Nosh Islandwide

No eatery is spared the suffering from Singapore’s dine-in ban, but it’s those who rely most on walk-in sales – our hawkers – that are bearing the brunt of it. Got the stomach for supporting hawker culture? Here’s one delish addition to the ranks of hawkers now delivering to our doorsteps.

Over at the usually crowded Newton Food Centre, some enterprising stalls are banding together to deliver your hawker fix islandwide. If you miss feasting on oyster omelette, satay, and other smoky goodies from diverse stalls, you can now get them all in one order with a single delivery fee of S$10. Sidestepping delivery platforms (and their hefty commission rates), this self-organised effort is set to keep our tummies very happy – while helping out this iconic hawker hub in a time of need.

Here are the stalls involved:

Newton 51 (#01-51)

Craving some Hokkien mee (S$5/8/10)? This stall does a mean, wok hei-packed plate, with lavish helpings of egg and seafood mixed in. You won’t regret getting down and greasy with their Fried Oyster Omelette (S$6/8/10) and Fried Carrot Cake (S$4/5/6) either.

Chong Pang Huat (#01-62)

Relive those late-night suppers with Chong Pang Huat’s succulent skewers. This stall sizzles up nicely-charred Satay (S$0.70/piece) in chicken, pork, and mutton options, along with meaty Singapore-style BBQ Chicken Wings (S$1.40/piece). Check out our review here.

Jian Fa Seafood BBQ (#01-43)

What’s a Newton feast without sambal stingray? Pick up a juicy slab of BBQ Stingray (S$12/15/18) here, along with their crowd-favourite BBQ King Prawns (S$20/25/30).

Tap House (#01-45)

Wash it all down with an ice-cold pint or three from Tap House. They’re delivering hawker classics like sugarcane juice, lime juice with that touch of plum to cut through the greasiness, and other fruit juices (from S$2++).

The above-mentioned Newton Food Centre stalls are open for islandwide delivery daily 11.30am–10.30pm. To order, call or Whatsapp +65 9646 4544.
