26 MAR 2016 | Under the skilful baton of Maestro Lim Soon Lee, the NUS Symphony Orchestra will present to you an exciting repertoire as part of the NUS Arts Festival 2016. The theme for the festival this year is ‘Wonder’ and NUSSO’s concert titled ‘Music For Curious Minds’ seeks to bring the audience on a journey of discovery and experimentation.
Featuring works that were at the forefront of progress during their time such as Brahm’s Academic Festive Overture as well as Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, this concert aims to draw the startling parallels of Science and Music. This concert will also feature prominent violist Lim Chun and winner of the 2013 National Piano and Violin Competition (NPVC) Junior Category, 15-year old violinist Kimberly Lo in Bruch’s Double Concerto in E Minor.
Music For Curious Minds is happening on Saturday, March 26 2016, 8pm at NUS University Cultural Centre Hall. Tickets are priced at $20 and $25, and are available here.
