Open Farm Community (OFC) is holding its first ever Farmer’s Market from 29 – 30 August 2015, at 11.00am – 4.00pm, to encourage urbanites to develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with their food.
Devotees of fresh food and produce, baked delicacies, savoury spreads and sweet ‘somethings’, can expect freshly-farmed produce straight from Singapore farms: Jackfruit and Coconut kaya (Momo Co), Ham and Sausages (Casse – Croute), Oh Farm’s fresh and crunchy butterhead lettuce, and Reverend Nat’s cider (Mad Tapper), and more! Scout and shop while also enjoying community gardening sessions alongside the farmers at the horticultural hub.
To celebrate the Opening Day, Edible Garden City will conduct a community gardening session from 9.30am – 11.30am on Saturday, 29 August 2015, to inspire more urbanites to jump on board the “Grow Your Own Food” movement, sharing more about how we can all play our part in promoting healthy, sustainable living right here in our garden city.
This Farmer’s Market event takes place at Open Farm Community from 29-30 Aug 2015, 11am to 4pm. For more information, visit the event page [here](https://www.facebook.com/events/1609082406009806/).
