Tanjong Beach has long been the domain of dog lovers
and their canine companions. Yet for every beloved family pet, there are scores more in
need of support and shelter. So come 27th September 2014, Tanjong Beach Club will be
hosting its first adoption and awareness drive, Paws on the Beach, with Animal Lovers
League (ALL). Supported by 98.7FM and Pet Lovers Centre, the event hopes to find
potential pet owners and funding for Singapore’s biggest animal shelter.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm and free Pet Lovers Centre goodie bags will be given
to the first 100 attendees. Volunteers from ALL will be on-site with some of the dogs to rally
greater interest in adoption and help raise funds to maintain the shelter.
Tanjong Beach Club has always welcomed dogs and has long wanted to do more to show
support for its furry friends. With their strict no-kill policy and over 700 animals in need of
good homes, ALL was the ideal partner to come onboard. Fundraising events like this one
helps ALL cover their steep monthly operational costs of $57,000 and identify potential
adopters.
