Following the tremendous success of last year, this June 1st sees the 2nd edition of PIANOBOTANICA – featuring none other than Singapore jazz maestro Jeremy Monteiro & Jazz Brasileiro. This free admission musical evening will set stage at the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, on 1st June 2014 at 6pm.
Presented by Keppel Offshore and Marine, and with full support given by The Embassy of Brazil, this cultural event will have strong Brazilian themes and feature many Bossa Nova and Samba tunes; and is set not only to forge closer ties between Singapore and Brazil, but is also in celebration of the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.
The outstanding 7-piece band ensemble will be headed by the highly-acclaimed Jeremy Monteiro, also known as “Singapore’s King of Swing”, and is bound to set the stage aflame with music of enormous passion, energy and soul. Both music lovers as well a football fans across all ages are welcome to join, and come dressed in blue, yellow and green, which are the colours of Brazil and the World Cup [we will not stop anyone from wearing their own team colors! 😉 ]
Set in the lush Botanic gardens, this musical recital is bound to set feet tapping, as audience relax amongst the greenery. People are also more than welcome to picnic in the park, or even engage with a few football kick-abouts before and after music starts.
