If you, like me, absolutely love Pita bread, then you’ll have been disappointed for years here in SG by the lack of decent options available. The ones at the supermarket are average at a stretch and there’s not been any decent bakery to pick some up… that is until now. Introducing Pita Bakery.
A few months ago I had the lucky pleasure of meeting Oscar Golani, one of the owners of Pita Bakery on 29 Bali Lane. This tiny shophouse bakery specialising in only one thing; soft, fluffy, freshly baked pita bread. You can also buy tubs of decent hummus there as well, but for me it’s all about the pita.
Baked fresh every day, this is quite simply the place you need to know about to buy good pita bread in Singapore. FACT.
Buy them individually at $1 per pita, or get a pack of 12 for $10. If you’ve got tapenades or other dips waiting at home, this stuff is perfect.
