The Painted Ladies (Singapore) is a documentary about Singaporean women who embody forgiveness, love and self-worth.
It is about going to the darkest side in their lives, harnessing the strength through embracing who they were, taking the masks down to share the complex truths about themselves – sexual abuse, drugs, suicides, bulimia, extra marital affairs, etc.
Through these powerful stories, we admire their courage and strength to do so, as their love for others transcends above all norms, traditions and limitations. The film will inspire and empower women in the world to stand up for themselves and create possibilities of forgiveness, love and self-worth by being committed to the power of choice.
The thematic approach towards the film focuses on ‘forgiveness’ and ‘worthiness’, through an artistic eye. We follow five women’s journey where they seek forgiveness, find worth and love in themselves, and for the world.
Join us in our journey in discovery of truths, love and forgiveness by attending our screening events and in-conversations.
