Redshape x Brandon Tay with support by Kaye

Forging on in the aim to bring emerging and established artists together in production and performance on one global stage, Midnight Shift presents a world-first production! Pairing for the first time, German electronic music producer Redshape meets homegrown visual artist Brandon Tay to co-create a live audio-visual experience with legs to travel the world.

An accomplished producer and DJ with over 30 releases, 20 remixes and 2 albums under his belt, Redshape brings to the table his electronic music artistry with critically acclaimed cinematic sensibilities. Brandon Tay, his visual collaborator on this project, will match beat to pixel with his visionary and high technical competence, that has been in demand by world-class shows including Flying Lotus and Grammy-award winner, Skrillex plus numerous shows as part of the Syndicate collective.

A tightly co-produced and co-executed programme will see the music and visual world collide as one, offering an immersive, multi-dimensional show that will suggest new worlds for both senses to exist.

Opening the night will be Kaye, one of Singapore’s most versatile and admired musicians. Over the decades, he has performed fluidly across the musical spectrum from live band collaborations to club settings and festival stages both at home and abroad. Combining his classical training as a saxophonist with his love for gadgetry and the future possibilities of music technology, Kaye will present a hybrid soulful electronic set as warm up.

This Midnight Shift Live performance is the first in a series of events that will formally incorporate musicianship, visual artistry along with the humanity and tension of live performances in and through the electronic format to a new generation of audiences.

Redshape will also present a 1st performance as LIVE/DJ performance at club kyo on Sat, 22 Feb 2014.
