Singapore Art Week 2014

The Singapore Art Week returns with a myriad of innovative and enriching experiences by artists and institutions from 13 to 19 January 2014, presenting more than 70 events across the island. Leveraging on the high visitor traffic and buzz, the National Arts Council (NAC) has commissioned and is supporting more than 20 arts projects and 32 artists and arts groups for the Week, ranging from exhibitions, tours, performances and parties.

To encourage more Singaporeans to attend and appreciate the arts, the NAC is boosting the Art Week campaign with stronger local marketing and outreach. It also presents an opportunity for Singapore artists to raise their profile among the international community, to showcase the depth and diversity of Singapore’s visual arts scene. Apart from the Singapore artists who will showcase at Art Stage Singapore’s Southeast Asia Curated Platform, NAC has worked closely with partners to seed and support projects by other Singaporean artists and groups including Art Outreach’s Art-In-Transit Tours, Shubigi Rao’s exhibition at Grey Projects, and Zul Mahmood’s showcase at The Private Museum
