Singapore Wind Symphony Presents: Then & Now
In its 3rd concert of the season, the Singapore Wind Symphony remembers the past and celebrates the present with “Then & Now”.
The concert features past Music Director Joost Flach (Oboe, Guest Conductor), who played a pivotal role in shaping SWS to what it has become today and up and coming young conductor Seow Yibin (Guest conductor).
We also celebrate new found sounds with friends Govin Tan (Tabla), Shunta Goh (Erhu), Jinjun Lee and Composer in Residence Terrence Wong with the World Premiere for “Dialogue for Tabla and Symphonic Band” (Eric Watson), “Suite for Erhu” (Nathan Wang), Winner of the 2014 World Projects Compositions Contest Singapore premiere of “What the Future Holds” (Jinjun Lee) and the World Premiere of “Separation” (Terrence Wong) in this round up of Singapore’s SG50 celebrations.
