SUB CITY feat. JPS [The Operatives/AU]

16 APR 2016 | SUB CITY returns with a night of high quality D&B, Jungle & Bass music by the city’s rawest DJs featuring a very special guest in the form of JPS (The Operatives, AU).

This Melbourne based DJ, producer & promoter is a true blue Singaporean, whose CV includes the curation of Melbourne Music Week nights, co-founding the highly acclaimed New Year’s Day ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ Festival in Melbourne’s Werribee Park – to playing sell out crowds in the UK & in most recent seasons being the tour DJ for Flying Lotus in North America.

JPS’s music productions in the Drum & Bass and Jungle realm has prompted collaborations with seasoned producers such as Kiat [Metalheadz/SyndicateSG], Johnny Hooves & Motive, and has lead to signings on labels as far away as the Netherlands [OBSessions].

JPS founded and is the head-honcho of The Operatives in Melbourne, pushing a wide variety of high quality music via events such as the infamous ‘Espionage’ series, which has seen artistes such as DJ Rashad, Tokimonsta, Shlohmo & Harmonic 313 headlining. The Operatives reached a milestone in their musical mission, by debuting the likes of Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke & The Gaslamp Killer in tours all across Australia.

‘From the hills of Thomson to the streets of Melbourne, like a phoenix rising and blazing a trail of utter dopeness on the planet…’ – JPS will flex his Jungle-D&B muscle at SUB CITY this 16th April.

Supporting sets by #subcitysg residents JAYDAH, SENJA & KANE MC on the night.
