Sundays with French Cinema: Le Feu Follet

17 APR 2016 | Celebrating more than a century of glorious film-making, the Gaumont Company has been responsible for putting up some of the most iconic films in history. Over 7 weeks, The Projector will ben screening some of the vintage classics – from Godard to Scorsese to Besson.

After garnering international acclaim, Louis Malle gave his fans a shock with The Fire Within, a penetrating study of individual and social inertia. Alain Leroy, a self-destructive writer who resolves to kill himself and spends the next twenty-four hours trying to reconnect with a host of wayward friends. Unsparing in its portrait of Alain s inner turmoil and shot with remarkable clarity, The Fire Within is one of Malle’s darkest and most personal films.

Sundays with French Cinema: Le Feu Follet is happening on Sunday, 17 April 2016, 2pm at The Projector. For more details, check out the event page here.
