Sustainable Ingredients and Conscious Eating: 5 Reasons to Visit mezza9 at Grand Hyatt Singapore

In the Orchard Road neighbourhood, food options are one thing you’ll never run out of. Framed by wooden panels and glossy fixtures over a hardwood flooring, mezza9 is almost a dining institution in this part of town with their open-concept show stations and award-winning Martini Bar. That said, the restaurant keeps up with the times in Singapore’s oh-so-fickle dining scene. In evidence? Their new menus, driven by sustainable and quality produce. Read more to find out what else they have up their sleeves with this overhaul:

Thoughtfully Sourced Ingredients

Apart from staying away from preservatives and processed foods, mezza9 incorporates sustainable ingredients in support of conscious consumption and the ultimate goal of improving your quality of life. The top grade produce used in their new menus feature seafood certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council as well as vegetables sourced from cooperative farms in Singapore and Cameron Highlands. And did we mention the herbs come from the Grand Hyatt’s very own rooftop gardens?

New Set Lunch Menu

Those looking for a spiffy lunch spot in Orchard Road, there’s a Two Course ($35++) and a Three Course Set Lunch ($45++), customisable with mezza9’s extensive variety of choices in the menu.

Great appetisers, like the Luk Chin Yang Grilled Thai Fish Balls that offers a bouquet of aromatic Thai flavours, tantalise your tastebuds and get you in the mood for the likes of the Maine Lobster Hot Pot. The fresh, succulent crustacean is prepared with chunks of mushrooms, garlic, chili, and spring onion, and comes with a side of ginger fried rice. If you’re opted to have dessert, try the light Vanilla Custard Peach Compote topped with fresh raspberries.

New Dinner Menu

Get your evening going on a good note with mezza9’s refreshed à la carte dinner menu. From slow-simmered and roasted meats to sustainable raw seafood, mezza9 promises to cater to even the fussiest of eaters. Amongst their bounty, the Clam Lobster Bake ($128) is, unsurprisingly, a popular pick from the Grill Kitchen. Cooked over jarrah hard wood, the juicy chunks of seafood convey a delicate smoky flavour.

Have a deep-seated love for Japanese food? mezza9’s got you covered.  The restaurant’s sushi kitchen has assembled a diverse spread of premium Nigiri and Sashimi. The Thai Kitchen is also dishing out classics like the Tom Yam Goon Nam Kon ($16) and everyone’s favourite Moo Yang ($24, grilled pork).

Bar Snacks at Martini Bar and Party Room

Aside from the new slew of dishes at the primary food stations, mezza9’s award-winning martini bar and the brand new party room, a gin and tonic bar, have recharged their bar snacks menu as well. For a savoury bite-sized treat to complement your tipple, a moreish Lobster Roll made with half Maine lobster and homemade jalapeno & chipotle mayonnaise will do the trick. Alternatively, snack on Hummus with smoked paprika and homemade toasted sourdough.

Happy Hour Promotion: From 5pm to 9pm, enjoy champagnes priced at $16++ per glass, house pours at $14++ per glass, and beers at $9++ per bottle.
