In light of the current crisis, the Singapore Palestine Film Festival 2024 seeks to raise cultural awareness and shed light on the challenges and situation in Palestine through 10 curated films. Witness the growth of the resistance movement in the award-winning documentary Five Broken Cameras, and learn what it’s like to live and grow up in the Palestinian refugee camp with The Tower. ART SG, the highly anticipated international contemporary art fair is set to return from January 19 to 21, 2024 (Vernissage, 18 January) at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. With 110 outstanding galleries from 33 countries and territories participating, the event, organised by The Art Assembly and presented by UBS, promises a diverse showcase of global artistic talent. Among the distinguished international galleries making a return are Gagosian, White Cube, Thaddaeus Ropac, Lehmann Maupin, and others. Supporting Smiling Gecko’s mission of providing education and vocational training to underprivileged individuals in rural Cambodia, the Four-Hands dinner, hosted by Swiss photographer and Smiling Gecko Founder Dr. Hannes Schmid, will take place on January 21 and 22. Executed by Aniba’s Executive Chef Anas Shami and Chef Mariya, the visually stunning menu reflects the theme of self-expression and features dishes such as Rainbow Hamachi Fillet Tartare and Lemongrass Red Curry Coconut Soup with Local Seabass Fillet. Prepare for the grandest celebration of visual arts in Singapore as Singapore Art Week (SAW) makes its triumphant return for its 12th edition.
