The Lover’s Inventory by Cyril Wong [Launch]

BooksActually presents:

THE LOVER’S INVENTORY
by Cyril Wong

14 August 2015, Friday
7.30 pm at BooksActually

Cyril Wong will be reading from and talking candidly about his latest poetry collection that was submitted for publication (before that short-lived saga involving the removal of books from shelves about penguins and swans). A crucifix, a piece of underwear, a body part—these belong to a lover’s inventory that encompasses objects, places, sensations, and other memorabilia, providing springboards for memory and poetry. Mischievous, ambivalent, erotic to sentimental and hopefully profound, the poems here serve as letters to past flings, lovers and exes, bearing messages about the challenges of desire, loneliness, and letting go.

About Cyril Wong:

Born in 1977, Cyril Wong attended Saint Patrick’s School, Singapore and Temasek Junior College, before completing a doctoral degree in English literature at the National University of Singapore. His poems have appeared in journals around the world.

The launch takes place on 14 Aug 2015 at BooksActually from 7.30pm to 9pm. For more information, click [here](https://www.facebook.com/events/427713734020419/).
