The Social Store

The Social Store is an exhibition cum sales event conceived to preserve the treasured works of artists and artisans from various communities around the world. Launching first in Singapore to support the works of Indian artists and artisans, The Social Store is set up by Mr HP Singh of Satin Creditcare Network Limited and managed by The Global Social Enterprise Limited.

This inaugural event in Singapore is organised by The Gobal Social Enterprise Limited and co-organised by F A T Gallery and The RICE Company Limited.

Part proceeds from the sale of items will go towards the International Young Artists Exchange managed by The RICE Company Limited that was set up on 26 March 2014 as a charity with IPC status.

The Social Store believes in the divine nature of art that is created by artists. Its mission is to preserve the work of artists through the principles of protecting, presenting, promoting, preserving and making art perennial thereby creating an ecosystem of continuous improvement and treasuring for all forms of artefacts and their artists. The purpose is to uplift the community of artisans to revive every dying art by reaching the global market through the platform of The Social Store.

Some 5000 exquisite works of art, wearable art and traditional crafts will be presented at the exhibition to be held on 7 July 2014. Prices range from $20 to $1000 for the more intricate collection.
